Sterling Silver Handcrafted Flower Garden Rings - Better than a Bouquet!

Flowers...I love them!
Flower bouquets, though lovely, make me a bit sad. They just fade too fast :/

But, with proper care, these flower garden inspired rings can last a lifetime!!

All solid Sterling silver with fine silver bezels and in a rainbow of stone colors too.
Bottom two (Ocean Jasper) are in my made-to-size section. I have selected a ring band style, you just indicate your size at checkout. Tiger's Eye flower ring is also adjustable :)

Search around while you are there.
You will find I make much more than rings with flowers! Earrings, bracelets, pendants...

Sterling Silver Rings Finished to Your Size

I've created a new section in my shop for rings finished to your chosen size.

Currently, the three ring tops pictured are listed. More coming soon!! I have chosen a band style for each ring, you just choose your size at checkout. I will then add the band and have it on its way to you in 3-5 business days. Or sooner!

You will receive the exact ring top pictured. In the photos, the stones are not set in their bezels yet since that is the last step after adding the band.

Hammered Twisted and Stamped Copper Bangle Bracelets

I've been making copper bangles for a while, but I've just added a new twist style.

This twist is available individually, or together with two previous styles (hammered and stamped) for a sweet trio that can be made to your size and either patina'd or left bright polished.
Also in my shop are many other bangle bracelets, some with gemstones, plus several other copper styles. The hammered and stamped bangles in the trio above are also available as singles. Great to add to your bangle bracelet stack!

MosaicSmith Makes Jewelry Too!

Looking at my blog, you'd think I've not been creative in quite a while. But, far from it! I've just taken a turn in direction.  And it took me a while to determine if this turn was a short side trip or a long journey in my creative adventures. I'm thinking I'm in for a long enjoyable ride! I hope you'll join me!!

Glance through my mosaic work and you'll see I often work small. Very small! And you will also see the introduction of metal in the form of copper enamel. I have now ventured further into metal and have been working primarily with silver recently.  Many of the same nature themes are cropping up in my jewelry. Flowers and leaves, sailboats and birds... Small, wearable art!

Available pieces are listed in my Etsy MosaicSmith shop.

New this past week-! :

Reaching Mosaic Wall Art - Adventures with Pennyround Tiles and Shading

Reaching   28.5" x 11.5"
(Click photo to view larger image.)

Several years ago, out of the blue, during a time when I was struggling, as a Mom, with my oldest child growing into an adult, I had a strong vision: a gloriously colored piece of fabric stretching and reaching towards brightness....My daughter.

I got busy sourcing glass and tile to match my vision. Many sheets of stained glass in an array of colors. Matte black (and a bit of grey) unglazed porcelain tile for the background.

Detail: uncut penny round tiles

Black glass pennyround tiles with an iridescent finish that varied from plain black to silver, to gold and multicolor.
These I nipped so as to use just the curved edge.

Left: sorted pennyround tile bits. Right: sorted glass rectangles.

I created, from wood and hardibacker concrete board plus mesh and thin-set mortar, a 3D substrate on which to piece the colorful 'fabric'.
Finally, I hand cut many, many tiny rectangles in a rainbow of colors and shades from black to bright from the sheets of stained glass.

The beginning!

The process of gathering and figuring took three years.

During that time, my daughter continued to grow towards her bright light and she shines!!

The background I pieced with the unglazed porcelain tile and added subtle depth through use of smaller piece sizes along the center left, as well as a couple of perspective lines in the grout.

I also added in very thin pieces of dark grey tile- the light source.
The last piece!

I grouted the background with black and did a shaded grout on the woven section with pale grey at the top through black at the bottom.

This mosaic is currently available in my Etsy Shop.
